Project Announcement – Effluent pH Treatment Plant

WestWater have successfully won a tender with Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Australia for the design and construction of an effluent pH treatment plant at their Neverfail facility in Malaga, Western Australia.

The effluent treatment plant is needing to be capable of treating 50 kL of effluent per day to the required pH level prior to discharge to sewerage.

WestWater will be installing a recirculation system on a new 21,000L HDPE tank to monitor and control pH adjustment as required, including:

  • Two pH analysers – one for monitoring pH levels in the reticulation line and controlling dosing, and another for monitoring the outflow to the sewer and documenting actual trade waste pH levels.
  • Two skids, each with the ability to hold a 1,000L IBC with the necessary chemicals to either raise or lower the pH level of the effluent.
  • A magflow meter for both instantaneous and totalised flow measurement of the outflow to the sewer.
  • A high level switch on the existing 7,000L below ground tank, to notify operations when waste storage has reached capacity.

All aspects of the works will be completed in accordance with the Contract, relevant design standards, and Australian Standards.

The project is expected to reach Practical Completion by January 2026.
