Project Announcement – Tank Outlet Chlorine Analyser Install – WA

WestWater have successfully won a tender with the Water Corporation for the design, construction, and installation of a free-standing chlorine analyser cabinet at the Lilly Road Tank, located just outside of Margaret River, Western Australia.

The Lilly Road Tank has the capacity to hold 15ML of potable water, and supplies water to Margaret River and surrounding schemes. Due to the scheme usage, fluctuations in flows from the tank allow for inconstant chlorine residual to occur within the tank holdings across the day.

Currently, operational intervention is required twice daily to monitor and adjust chlorine dosage levels accordingly to maintain safe chlorine residuals within the tank. This is a drain on the limited resourcing capacity of the region and has a risk of causing water quality compliance issues.

The works WestWater will be undertaking will consist of:

  • Design, manufacture and install of a free-standing chlorine analyser cabinet
  • Installation of sample feed and sample return lines, and all ancillary equipment and instrumentation
  • Integration into the existing site control and SCADA system

All aspects of the works will be completed in accordance with the Contract, relevant design standards, and Australian Standards.

The project is expected to reach Practical Completion by June 2025.
