Rogar Avenue Reservoir Re-Chlorination Facility

View Project PDF

Rockhampton Regional Council went to tender for a new chlorination facility for their Rogar’s Avenue reservoir. WestWater successfully tendered a conventional Sodium Hypochlorite facility with loading apron and emergency storage in case of a spill (when chlorine was being delivered or transferred).

We analysed the cost of the civils works and found it was cheaper & safer to install one of our Hyprolyser 180 electro-chlorination systems to produce low-grade sodium hypochlorite onsite. This is a real game changer for the industry, eliminating transportation and unloading of dangerous goods on site.

The unit was housed in one of our transportable buildings along with a 2500 L HDPE storage tank and a separate control room.
