Chlorination / Fluoridation

View Project PDF

WestWater were contracted to design, construct, install and commission transportable chlorination and fluoridation treatment plants for 5 remote Aboriginal Communities throughout the NT.

This task offered a number of different challenges including the transportation of nine 28 tonne concrete buildings from Sydney to Darwin and then via barge from Darwin to their corresponding Community. The systems also had to be extremely reliable and simple to operate as some sites would be operated by local Aboriginal ESOs with minimal experience or training.

A number of different control modes were incorporated by WestWater to allow for any scenario that may happen in the bush. These systems have been running since approx. January 2012 with minimal to no faults.
