WestWater have successfully won a tender with Unity Water to design, install and commission of a new chlorine gas dosing system at the Clear Mountain Road Water Supply Reservoir, located in Cashmere, approximately 30km north of the Brisbane CBD.
The sodium hypochlorite dosing system at the Clear Mountain Road Water Supply Reservoir site is currently a manually operated system and the condition of the dosing system is very poor. The purpose of the chlorine dosing system is to maintain sufficient disinfectant residuals to ensure the bacteriological quality in the water supplied by Clear Mountain Reservoir to the Samford area.
The works consist of removing the existing manually operated sodium hypochlorite dosing system and replacing with a new chlorine gas dosing system.
All aspects of the works will be completed in accordance with the Contract, Unity Water Standards and Australian Standards.
The project is expected to reach Practical Completion by April 2021.
