WestWater have been engaged by Unity Water to upgrade their re-chlorination facility at Sugarbag Road Reservoir located in Aroona, QLD. The existing sodium hypochlorite facility will be decommissioned and replaced with a DeNora gas chlorination system, in order to align with their chlorination standardisation scheme.
The re-chlorination facility will be designed to boost chlorine levels in their dual reservoir storage site that services the Caloundra coastal areas of Pelican Waters, Point Cartwright, Caloundra West, Bells Beach, Aura, Bellvista and Little Mountain. The project hopes to turn the facility into a reliable and effective method for chlorine boosting by utilising WestWater’s expertise and quality equipment.
All aspects of the upgrade to the re-chlorination facility will be designed, constructed, installed and commissioned in accordance with the Contract and Australian Standards.
The kick-off meeting was held on 11th of July 2019, and the project is expected to reach Practical Completion by November 2019.
