WestWater have successfully won a tender with the Water Corporation for the installation of replacement pressure filter vessels at Derby WTP and Fitzroy Crossing WTP, both of which are located in the Kimberley Region of Western Australia.
WestWater will be installing the following within the scope of works of this project:
- 4 x GRP Plenum Floor 1800mm diameter Green Sand granular filters at Derby WTP; and
- 2 x GRP Plenum Floor 2200mm diameter Green Sand granular filters at Fitzroy Crossing WTP.
- Shed structure over the two new filters at Fitzroy Crossing WTP to provide shade and protection from weather.
These new filter vessels will replace the current filters on both sites which are no longer suitable and do not meet current Water Corporation standards.
All aspects of the works will be completed in accordance with the Contract, Water Corporation Standards and Australian Standards.
The project is expected to reach Practical Completion in early 2024.
