WestWater have successfully won a tender with the Water Corporation for the supply and installation of Emergency Shutdown Devices (ESDs) for all chlorine containers configured for use across 15 regional Water Corporation sites in the Midwest region of Western Australia.
Water Corporation Design Standard DS70-03 demands that all chlorine gas installations have ESDs fitted to all individual bottles connected to a chlorination system. All ESD’s will operate to close the container valves when the designated chlorine concentration (5ppm) is detected for 10 seconds.
WestWater’s Chlorshield electric ESDs will be installed on these sites, and are proven performers in the field with hundreds of ESDs installed around Australia.
All aspects of the works will be completed in accordance with the Contract, Water Corporation Standards and Australian Standards.
The project is expected to reach Practical Completion in April 2023.
